On Tuesday, Mayor Vito announced that he will run for an seventh consecutive term. It is suspected that the long-standing mayor will run unopposed—as he has for the better part of two decades—furthing his family's mayoral lineage that has existed since the city's foundation.
Mayor Vito's ancestor, also known as Mayor Vito, first founded the city of Far Point in 1719, giving way to the mayoral lineage. And though the political views of the different Mayor Vito's have varied throughout the years, many agree that they all look exactly alike...
New things are coming to the city. Some say the winds changing, others believe the stars are aligned, a few hypothesize that cosmic string attenuation is vibratrating just out of sync, allowing reality itself to split apart...
Either way, it all spells change for our city—and hopefully the citizens will be prepared for all that is to come. Because when new things come to Far Point, it can make for quite exciting times.
Billionare and philanthrpoist, John Smith, has decided once again to bless the city with his fourtune as he pledges to donate more time and resources into his personal charity, The Smith Foundation.
Known for it's goodwill and partnership with several organizations around the city, The Smith Foundation has been a pillar of change within the Far Point Community. From taking homeless off the street to enriching school lunches, the charitable organization seems to have its hands in everything.
And luckily for the citizens of Far Point, John Smith asks for nothing in return...
FPPD Officer, Penny Gutierrez, will be suspended without pay following a high speed chase through the city. The officer, who was assigned to monitoriing parking violations downtown, engaged in the pursuit after George Barnaby, age 87, let his meter go red in a commercial zone and left the scene unaware of the violation. The fine would have been a measley thirty dollar ticket, but the chase ended in Barnaby crashing into a local convient store, resulting in over fifty-thousand in property damage. When questioned about the incident, Officier Gutierrez is quoted as saying, "No one is above the law. I was just doing my job."
FPPD has since issued a public apology to the city and to George Barnaby, who is making a full recovery, and assures us that Officer Gutierrez will undergo extensive corrective training before being placed back on parking duty 'indefinitely' following her suspension.

Join us in Far Point's National State Forest for a full moon hike at the end of the month. Our Park Rangers will be leading a group through the woods on the historic Leshen Trail with nothing but the moonlight to guide the way.
Flash lights are not necessary and are discouraged from being brought along as our rangers warn that the extra light pollution will only ruin the expirence of the full moon and might scare away some of the wildlife that only come out at night.
Is there a secret Agency in Far Point? Strange sightings and curious tales have lead some to believe so. And for as long as the city has been around, it's citizens have always mumbled about an unknown few amongst them who operate in mysterious ways...
Some deem these Agents shadowy agitators; some want them to be held accountable for their actions. But local and federal governments seem just as unaware about this Agency as the citizens themselves and can offer no information about the group, often aligning themselves with others who call for their immediate unmasking and disbanding.
But there are some in this city who call these Agents 'heroes.' And the stories they tell often lend credence to such an idea, one as old as humanity and strong as it's will...
Far Point Animal Control Officer, Benjamin Buchanan, would like to remind citizens to bag food scraps tightly before throwing them away. The smell of leftover food can draw dangerous animals into the city who smell the rotting food scraps and decide to investigate.
And on the topic of public/animal safety, Buchanan would also like to remind the people that although taking in stray cats off the street is not an 'illegal' offense, it is a stern suggestion to leave feral cats where they be and to adopt through the permitted shelters of the city.
"Stray cats in Far Point can be very strange," Buchanan warns. "And it's difficult to explain all the dangers they may bring..."
